Dr. Jason Zara, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies and Professor of Biomedical Engineering, and Dr. Erica Wortham, Director of the SEAS Innovation Center and lecturer across multiple GW Schools, led a workshop for engineering faculty and administrators at the Keen National Conference 2023 this past weekend. KEEN stands for the Kern Entreprenurial Engineering Network, which hosts the annual Keen National Conference (KNC) to bring its network together.

This year's conference topic was "Connections," one of the KEEN Network's 3 C's.  The workshop Dr. Zara and Dr. Wortham taught focused on the entrepreneurial mindset in co-curricular contexts and "putting our whole selves into it."  They facilitated discussions about the value of co-curricular, experiential learning and offered a hands-on "box" activity to bring out aspects of the whole self that are often kept on the sidelines of our professional lives but help us connect with each other and our students.
