Six BME students won awards at the 2016 SEAS R&D Showcase

BME students had great success at the 2016 SEAS R&D Showcase that took place on Wednesday, February 24th. This is the penultimate research event for SEAS each year and 6 BME students won prizes. The BME winners are listed below.

Randolph A. Graves Graduate Student Innovation Award ($2,500) - Angel Moreno, Department of Biomedical Engineering
Poster Title: NADH fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (NADH-FRAP) for in-situ assessment of cardiac TCA cycle enzyme activity

2nd Place Experimental Research Award ($2,000) – Kara Garrott, Department of Biomedical Engineering

2nd Place Experimental Research Award ($2,000) – Ivan Suarez Castellanos, Department of Biomedical Engineering

Honorable Mention Experimental Research Award  ($1,000) – Quan Dong, Department of Biomedical Engineering

Hegarty Undergraduate Prize: Mr. Aran Hegarty awarded a solar battery charger to Bogdan Balteanu & Tania Singh, Department of Biomedical Engineering
