Dr. Anne-Laure Papa joins BME Faculty

July 14, 2017

Dr. Anne- Laure Papa’s current research interests are inspired by platelet physiology and their implications in cancer metastasis and vascular diseases. Her research consists of development of novel transnationally directed therapeutic systems including programmable nanoparticles and ex vivo modified cells (e.g. platelets), utilizing surface modification and biomimicry to ensure optimal circulation times and multifunctional therapeutic effects on various disease models.

Dr. Papa obtained her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry in partnership with NVH Medicinal Biotechnology at University of Bourgogne, France, along with a Master of Science in Chemistry of Interfaces and materials. Before becoming a BME faculty member, Dr. Papa was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Wyss Institute at Harvard University.

Welcome to the George Washington University-Department of Biomedical Engineering, Dr. Anne-Laure Papa!
